Workshops

• Department  of Computer  Science and Engineering conducted a National Level Workshop on "HOW TO DO RESEARCH"  on August 7^th and 8^th ,2009.

              Objective : The main objective of the workshop was to give the motivation, overview and proper initiation to the processes of research for the young researchers and faculty. More than 120 participants from variouis universityies and colleges participated. The speakers were Dr.S.Meenakshi Sundaram (Dept.of Mathematics, Sathyabama university), Prof. Timothy A Gonsalves (HOD-CSE, IITM), Prof. R.Ravanan (Dept of Statistics, Presidency College, Chennai), Prof. Kamatam Krishnaiah (Dean-Research, IITM), Prof. Sukhendu Das (CSE, IITM) and Prof. Hema A Murthy (CSE, IITM). The topics covered  were, Statistical Methods for Research, Experimental Methods in Research, Statistical Analysis with SPSS( Lab session), Character of Research and Researchers, How to make a Machine See? and Hypothesis Testing & Experimental Testing respectively.
